The team at Duane Johnsen Carpentry is outstanding. The owner worked extensively on projects for high-end customers in CA before moving to CO.
I felt if good enough for celebrities with deep pockets who could choose the best of the best for their finish carpentry he was probably good enough for me. And that was true plus pricing was fair and affordable for a non-millionaire like me.
From the simple to the most nuanced carpentry project, this group can handle any job, great to work with, friendly and dependable. I speak from personal first-hand experience. You will be pleased if you hire these folks.

Duane is very talented and a pleasure to work with. He installed a chair rail in our dining room and helped work out a door latching problem.

Duane is an exceptional carpenter and project manager and does it all with excellent people skills. He communicates well and clearly values his clients by seeking ways to understand what they want, what they need and how best to carry that out in the project.
His depth of experience enables him to bring a wealth of insight into the planning and execution of the goals. One of the most important aspects for us when hiring a contractor is whether or not we feel comfortable with them in our home, especially since we have 3 kids.
And with Duane, we have always felt very at ease with him being in our home and working amidst our family life. One of the projects Duane managed for us took place while I was in the midst of cancer treatment. He was sensitive to the different circumstances as he did the work and also figured out how to meet our time constraints to complete the project by the time we needed it finished.

We have an old house, with lots of quirks, and the problems with it were way beyond my abilities to tackle on my own.
Duane has extensive experience and truly is a master-level carpenter, and beyond his technical skills, what impresses me the most is his creative solutions to issues that don't have prescribed steps to follow.
He always figured out elegant ways of seamlessly fixing all kinds of issues that were plaguing this house. And as noted in the previous review, Duane is a husband and father himself and is the epitome of a gentleman.

It was such a pleasure to work with Duane on our bathroom addition. His expertise allowed for us to add less typical design features, such as a curved ceiling and a custom storage solution.
We feel that his talents significantly contributed to making our master bath one of our favorite rooms in the house.
Additionally, he runs his business in a professional manner, always showing up on time have all the tools and equipment needed for the work and submitting invoices in a timely manner.
